BY HONOURABLE DAVIES COLE . Let's get real.....understanding this is hard, but simple. A while ago, a friend of mine told me that someone had approached him to ask me to be the MC at some event, but the prospective client had even assumed that I would be expensive. One other lady told me that she was apprehensive of inviting me to her birthday because the whisky she assumed I would drink was expensive. For me it's very simple and I understand. Value is hardly in large numbers. That gym and restaurant y'all speak about everyday is not closing down and realise it or not you give them free publicity. They do not want everyone to afford their services. If you are invited to every club party or chilling every weekend please slow down and check. Some idea is going around that you might not like. You can't be readily available always. There is value in scarcity and exclusiveness. Many folks mistake popularity to mean, rampantness and accessibility. It's no small thing wh...

PEOPLE THINKING

People think because you are modest you lack ambition. They somehow make a ludicrous correlation that because they undervalue you, you do not know your worth. I do a lot of things for free, not because I come cheap, but because as I grow older I have lost interest in riches. I want to invest in wealth. People. Relationships. Connections. Do not get me wrong, I have use for money. I love playing with it sometimes. When I withdraw my salary from the bank I stack the notes serially. I go off on a whim once in a while, treat myself to expensive things. But I always come home to my people. My favourite humans. With the economy today, how much of my stack can I really give away anyway. It probably was not enough to start with. So I give my time. My effort. My skills. My knowledge. The best parts of me. It is up to you to make me feel it was worth it. I will know if you don't. I probably will not like it. And you will know.
